The Madikwe Game Reserve is in the north of South Africa, near the border with Botswana. It covers over 75,000 hectares of savanna and sub-tropical woodland, rising to hills and majestic mountains. Madikwe Kopano Lodge
The Madikwe Kopano Lodge is one of three properties known together as Madikwe Safari Lodge located in the central-eastern region of the malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve. The Madikwe Kopano Lodge is perfect for travelers looking for luxurious and intimate accommodation in a wildlife-rich location. Kopano means “small gathering” in Tswana which is exactly what this lodge is. It gives an authentic safari experience small enough to make you feel at home, but vast enough to leave you to wander in awe.
The Madikwe Kopano Lodge comprises of only four suites linked to a common area via pathways through the trees. These suites are spaced about 10–15 meters apart so you will experience a feeling of blissful isolation. The suites are all air-conditioned to provide comfort during summer days. The suites also have wood-burning fireplaces and electric blanket that are utterly irresistible on chilly evenings in the bush. Each of the four suites has a private plunge pool which is perfect during hot summer days or when you just want to have an intimate romantic bath with your loved one. Each suite also has a Gym-in-a-Basket with 2 x 1kg dumbbells, 2 x 3kg dumbbells, an exercise mat, and a core strengthener ring for your daily exercise routine.
Also available in the suites are direct dial telephone, free Wi-Fi, a safe, a tea-and-coffee station, international adaptor, hairdryer, insect repellant and a mini-bar. In addition, all four suites boast private en-suite bathrooms and private decks which are the perfect place from which to watch the sunset over the wild savanna. Guests can also enjoy private luxurious spa treatments in the comfort of their own suites. The Madikwe Kopano Lodge employs trained and qualified therapists, who will visit guests in the privacy of their own suite to help unwind with an array of treatments, including reflexology therapies, massages, facials, manicures, and pedicures. The Madikwe Kopano Lodge is Suitable for travelers with disability, so the impairment cannot be a hindrance in enjoying and experiencing a life in the bush. However, it must be noted that no children under the age of 16 years old are allowed at Kopano Lodge.
